Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has articulated his primary goal as the Chief Security Officer of the State: to lead and emerge victorious in the battle against criminals within the state.

Governor Ododo made this declaration during the inauguration of the office complex for the Quick Response Unit of the Nigeria Police, Kogi State Command.

This facility was constructed by the Kogi State Government under Governor Ododo’s leadership in a remarkable 90-day timeframe.

The Governor emphasized that his administration is not merely focused on addressing security challenges temporarily, but is resolute in actively pursuing criminal elements to eradicate them entirely from the state.

In Governor Ododo’s own words, “I am not here to simply make an effort. I am here to defeat criminals. We are making significant progress in the fight against insecurity, and our efforts are purposeful in fortifying the state’s security infrastructure.”

Governor Ododo reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to combatting crime and ensuring the safety and security of the people and property in Kogi State.

He assured that no resources will be spared in guaranteeing safety and security throughout the state.

The Governor highlighted the Metropolitan Quick Response operation as a proactive measure to bolster security and build upon the strong foundation laid by the previous administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.

He commended the commitment and sacrifices of the security agencies in the state and pledged to continue prioritizing technological advancements to enhance intelligence-gathering capabilities and combat emerging security threats effectively.

Governor Ododo also acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to addressing security challenges nationwide.

He expressed the full support of the government and people of Kogi State in the President’s efforts to combat terrorists and criminals across the country.
