Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija has officially assumed the role of Permanent Secretary at the Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications.
He took over from the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abdul Yakubu, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the State Secretariat Complex in Lokoja.
In his remarks following the handover, Mr. Adurodija expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of the State, for appointing him.
He also thanked the Head of Civil Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi, for the transparent and merit-based appointment process.
He also commended the Information Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo for providing the needed leadership in the sector, assuring him of his commitment and loyalty.
Mr. Adurodija assured the Ministry staff of improved welfare under his leadership, pledging to work tirelessly to bring about significant positive changes with the full support of His Excellency and the Ministry’s Commissioner, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo.
While emphasizing his commitment to collaboration with all Ministry staff, Mr. Adurodija cautioned against gossip and laziness, urging everyone to remain dedicated and diligent in their duties.
Former Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abdul Yakubu, urged Mr. Adurodija to ensure seamless coordination within the organization to effectively implement government policies and manage resources efficiently.
Alhaji Ademu Seidu, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State Chapter and Director of News and Publication, expressed gratitude to Governor Usman Ododo for appointing Mr. Adurodija and pledged the union’s support.
Mr. Sunday Adeniyi, Director of Information Services, commended His Excellency for his leadership and support in his message of goodwill.
The Kogi Information Chapel’s Chairman, Mallam Shuaibu Abubakar, described the appointment of Mr Adurodija as a testament to his hard work, resilience and dedication to his official duties wishing him success in his new office.
