The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has praised the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KSIEC) for overseeing a peaceful and transparent electoral process during the ongoing local government election in the state.
Speaking to the media after casting his vote at polling unit 010 in Egwubi, Ofu local government area, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu highlighted that this election is set to be the most peaceful and credible in the history of the state.
He shared that feedback from party leaders across all 21 local governments has been positive, with reports of openness, simplicity, and transparency in the process. Deputy Governor Joel Salifu also expressed satisfaction with the high voter turnout at polling stations.
He urged voters who have not yet visited their designated polling units to do so promptly and exercise their right to vote for their preferred candidates.
Deputy Governor Joel Salifu expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing victory in the election, citing the satisfaction of the people of the state with the commendable work of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
