The Director-General, Kogi State Bureau of Public Procurement, Bar. Sunday .J. Ehimoni has reiterated the commitment of the Governor of the State towards ensuring effective implementation of a more Efficient, Transparent and Accountable Procurement System in the State.

He started this at a two-day Training/Sensitization for all Permanent Secretaries, directors, PRS and Procurement officers in the State on the New Procurement Law 2020 and other Procurement Instruments.

He said that the issue of Procurement in the State is no longer business as usual that the Bureau has the mandate to ensure transparency and accountability as a practice around the world and promise to adhere strictly to the rules of the game.

He urged the participants to be abreast with the Laws and that Procurement Procedures must be followed to the latter.

Hon. Justice Sunday Omeiza Otu RTD, the former Chief Judge of Kogi State declared the training opened.

In his opening speech, he advised officers to rededicate themselves to their jobs in other to avoid hasty decisions that could affect them negatively.

He also urged the Procurement officers to concern themselves with trending issues and find ways of solving them by following due process.

The training documents were later presented to the participants.
