In it’s pursuit of an ecologically prosperous Kogi State, the Ministry of Environment has vowed to transform the State into a clean and sustainable haven for it’s citizens.

The newly appointed Commissioner for Environmental and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun Stephen, reaffirmed the ministry’s unwavering dedication to maintaining a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment for the benefit of residents and the promotion of tourism and economic growth.

Addressing journalists in his office, Oluwasegun emphasized the importance of a healthy environment in ensuring a high quality of life for all citizens of Kogi State.

He pledged his determination to work tirelessly in line with the ‘zero tolerance’ policy to uncleanliness set by His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State.

Oluwasegun firmly believes that by prioritizing cleanliness, the ministry can effectively reduce germs and diseases to the barest minimum.

“As I assume office today, I want to assure the people of Kogi State that we are committed to creating a cleaner and safer environment,” Oluwasegun declared.

“Our goal is to ensure that the air we breathe is pure, the water we drink is safe, and our natural resources are protected. Together, let us build a future where sustainability and progress go hand in hand”, he stated.

Having previously interacted with the ministry on various occasions, Joseph Oluwasegun is well acquainted with its workings and activities.

He assured the public of the ministry’s dedication to making a lasting impact and encouraged them to provide their support to this important cause.

Expressing his gratitude to Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo for entrusting him with the role of commissioner, Oluwasegun pledged to serve the people of Kogi State diligently and efficiently.

Through strict adherence to cleanliness and sustainability practices, the ministry seeks to foster an environment that attracts both tourism and economic growth.
