Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to Hon. Sani Egidi Abduraheem, a member of the House of Representatives representing the good people of Ajakuta Federal Constituency at Adogo, following the demise of his mother, Hajiya Ramatu Egidi.
Governor Ododo expressed his sympathy, revealing he was out of the country when he received the news of the sad event. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and offered words of comfort to the bereaved family.
“We thank God Almighty for the gift of life; we are here to condole with the family of one of our own who lost his mother some weeks ago. Our mother was a mother to all, a woman of peace, unity, and love,” Governor Ododo said, highlighting the deceased’s positive impact.
Governor Ododo also reflected on his past relationship with Hon. Sani Egidi, recalling their time together under the administration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, when Hon. Sani Egidi was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Governor Ododo was the Auditor General of Local Government.
