The Commissioner for Environment and Ecological management, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun, has felicitated with the Muslim community in Kogi State as they celebrate Eid ul Adha.
In a statement released by his office, the Commissioner urged Muslims to remember the noble example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and strive to emulate his unwavering faith and dedication.
“As we celebrate this special day, let us remember the sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his willingness to surrender to the will of Allah. May his example inspire us to greater heights of faith, obedience, and selflessness,” Engr. Oluwasegun said.
He also urged Muslims to reflect on the importance of environmental stewardship and ecological conservation, noting that the Prophet’s willingness to sacrifice his son was a testament to his commitment to the well-being of future generations.
The Commissioner commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo for his commitment to the development of the state and the well-being of its citizens, and urged Muslims to support the government’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability and ecological conservation.
Engr. Oluwasegun wished the Muslim community a joyous Eid ul Adha, and prayed for peace, prosperity, and progress in the state
