The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon Kingsley Femi Fanwo has praised Governor Alhaji Usman Ododo of Kogi State for distributing rice palliatives to the residents of the state.
Hon Fanwo expressed his appreciation during a meeting with journalists in his office.
The Information Commissioner deemed the rice distribution as timely and beneficial, as it would alleviate the financial burden of purchasing rice for the upcoming Sallah Festival.
He described it as a tangible display of the Governor’s commitment to the welfare of the people.
Furthermore, Honorable Fanwo emphasized that the rice distribution would help alleviate the high cost of food in the country, showcasing the Governor’s awareness of the challenges faced by the people and his dedication to assisting them.
The Information Commissioner commended the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs for ensuring the effective distribution of the rice palliatives to the local government areas, highlighting Governor Ododo’s commitment to ensuring that grassroots communities benefit from the dividends of democracy.
Evang. Fanwo urged politicians, civil servants, and the residents of Kogi State to reciprocate this humanitarian gesture by being diligent, peaceful, law-abiding, and offering unwavering support and loyalty to the Governor.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Mr. Isaiah T Adegbola, also praised the Governor for distributing the rice palliatives, noting that he has brought joy to the people, especially during this festive period.
