KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF ALH. NASIRU SOSO
The Kogi State Government received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Alhaji Nasiru Soso, a former Chairman of Okene Local Government Council and a former Auditor General for Local Government. His death, which occurred last night, is a great loss, not only to the people of Okene, but to the entire state.
Alhaji Nasiru Soso was a reputable figure in our political landscape, a community leader and a political colossus whose life was marked by an unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and the progress of our dear state. During his tenure as Chairman of Okene Local Government Council, he spearheaded numerous developmental initiatives that left an indelible mark on the people he served and endeared him to many across Kogi State.
Even after his years in official duties, he remained actively involved in the affairs of the state, consistently offering wise counsel and bringing his vast experience to bear in support of successive administrations. He was a man of great patriotism, whose dedication to the development of Kogi State stood as a shining example to all.
His passing is particularly painful at a time when voices like his are needed in our collective effort to build a stronger and more united Kogi. We will sorely miss his guidance, courage, and statesmanship.
The Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo described the departed hero as “an astute community leader, development enthusiast and an advocate of peace and unity who will be greatly missed by the people of the state”.
On behalf of the Kogi State Government, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the good people of Okene Local Government Area, and Kogites across the state. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and give us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Signed:
