Residents of rural communities in Ikuehi heaved sighs of relief as the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affair, Barrister Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, provided one 500 KVA transformer for residents of Chameba/Chamete communities in Ikuehi for the supply of electricity to homes in those communities.

Speaking during the transformer installation, Permanent Board Member, Kogi State Insurance Agency, Hon Yusuf Anderson Yakubu, explained that the transformer would serve over 400 houses.

Ikuehi Ward Chairman Hon Sanni Abdulmumuni urged residents to take possession of the facilities and guard them against vandalisation or destruction, considering they were provided to ease community development.

Similarly, some executives of the community: Mr. Ahmed Oricha Sule, Mr. Umar Abdulrasheed, Mr. Abdulazeez and Mr. Abdulmaleek Omeiza Jalaludeen expressed profound appreciation to Barrister Abdulsalam Ozigi Deedat for the kind gesture.

Umar Abdulrasheed of Ikuehi Ward promised that the communities would ensure that the transformer was protected and used for everyone’s good.
