Hon. Fanwo emphasized that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s unwavering commitment to the development of the state is steadfast, instilling trust and confidence in his style of governance among the citizens.

He made this remark during a courtesy visit from the President and members of the Governor Ododo Media Volunteers to his office in Lokoja on Tuesday.

Hon. Fanwo noted that the residents themselves are now actively sharing the positive achievements of the administration.

“It brings me joy to see the people of Kogi State eager to tell the story of their Governor’s performance. Over the last nine years, I have witnessed many experiences, and I understand that government often faces a trust deficit; citizens are usually skeptical about government claims. However, our narrative as Kogites has begun to rebuild the trust that the people have in their government. They now believe in what the government communicates,” he stated.

He described Governor Ododo’s one year in office as transformative, bringing tremendous achievements that have positively impacted the lives of citizens. He stressed that civil servants in the state now enjoy a trusting relationship with the government, even expressing their willingness to serve as returning officers in the next election.

Hon. Fanwo highlighted that the Chief Servant of Kogi State has demonstrated exceptional leadership, achieving significant progress in just one year in office, with his personality reflecting in his leadership style.

He expressed gratitude to former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for providing the state with a reliable and trustworthy leader in Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

“The Governor sees himself as a hiree—hired by the electorate—and believes that a hiree is not greater than the hirer. His humility is already evident in the people who work with him,” he articulated.

He further affirmed that Governor Ododo is leading with a spirit of humanity, humility, and honor, which has garnered genuine affection from the citizens.

Hon. Fanwo expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the Governor Ododo Media Volunteers, acknowledging their support for the Ministry and the media team of His Excellency. He emphasized the importance of effectively informing citizens and urged them to continue working diligently for the administration, describing their service as an act of patriotism and loyalty to the state.

The Commissioner assured the team of the Ministry’s maximum support.

Adaava Abdullahi, President of Governor Ododo Media Volunteers, praised Hon. Fanwo for transforming the Ministry and boosting the state’s image.

Mr. Abdullahi reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting Governor Ododo’s administration and also emphasized the importance of digital media and innovation in communication for Kogi State’s development.

The OdodoApp was digitally launched on January 26, 2025, to mark the Governor’s one-year anniversary. Mr. Abdullahi requested that Hon. Fanwo serve as the team’s key spokesperson, citing his expertise and experience in information and
communications.”
