Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to the growth and development of the state's information sector, describing Radio Kogi as a vital institution that continues to serve as the voice of government and the people across the state. The Commissioner stated this while receiving the Director-General of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuff, in his office in Lokoja during a courtesy visit to brief him on the activities lined up to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Radio Kogi. Fanwo described the milestone as a celebration of dedication, professionalism, and quality service spanning over three decades. According to him, "Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the station is well deserved. It is the right time to celebrate because we have a governor who is deeply committed to the information sector, especially broadcasting. As you are aware, we are already working on plans to give the corporation's headquarters a facelift. We are also working towards establishing a new station in Okene. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains committed to these and many other initiatives aimed at strengthening the broadcasting sector." The Commissioner commended the Director-General and the management of the corporation for their professionalism and dedication, expressing satisfaction with the station's programming, news quality, and wide reach across the state.
