NANS North Central Zone Declares Support for Governor Ododo, President Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Elections

The declaration was made during a courtesy visit by the zonal leadership of NANS to the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, in Lokoja. Speaking during the visit, the Zone C Coordinator of NANS North Central Zone, Comrade Hussein Jemilu Ebbo, described the leadership styles of Governor Ododo and President Tinubu as exemplary and impactful, particularly in advancing the welfare and development of young people. According to him, both leaders have demonstrated a strong commitment to youth empowerment, education, and inclusion in governance, making them worthy of continued support by Nigerian students and youths. Comrade Ebbo particularly applauded Governor Ododo for creating opportunities for young people through appointments and active participation in governance, noting that such initiatives have inspired confidence among youths across Kogi State. The North Central Zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared its support for Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, passing a vote of confidence in their leadership and commitment to youth development.

The declaration was made during a courtesy visit by the zonal leadership of NANS to the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, in Lokoja.

He described the governments of Governor Ododo and President Tinubu as administrations that prioritize the interests of young people, emphasizing that youths remain at the center of their development agenda.

The Commissioner urged the students to remain law-abiding, focused, and supportive of government policies aimed at improving the lives of young Nigerians.

Hon. Anyebe further noted that Governor Ododo’s administration has continued to demonstrate its commitment to youth empowerment through strategic appointments, skills acquisition programmes, sports development initiatives, and other interventions designed to create opportunities for young people.

He assured the delegation of the state government’s readiness to continue engaging with student bodies and youth organizations in pursuit of sustainable development and inclusive governance.

The Commissioner commended the leadership of NANS North Central Zone for fostering unity and constructive engagement among students and reaffirmed that the doors of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development remain open for collaboration and dialogue.

The visit further underscored the growing partnership between government and youth stakeholders in promoting policies and programmes aimed at enhancing the welfare and prospects of young people across Kogi State and the North Central region.
