David Umahi following his recent inspection tour of federal road projects across Kogi State, the Kogi State Commissioner for Works Hon. Barr. Abdulsalami Ozigi Deedat embarked on an inspection visit to key federal road construction sites within the state to ensure compliance with the Federal Ministry of Works’ standards and specifications on Tuesday 16th of June 2026. The inspection exercise underscores the commitment of the Kogi State Government to support the Federal Government in delivering quality infrastructure for the benefit of the people. During the visit, the Commissioner emphasized that the Ministry of Works in Kogi State has been tasked with overseeing the supervision of ongoing federal road projects within the state, ensuring that contractors adhere strictly to all rules, regulations, and engineering standards established by the Federal Ministry of Works. The Commissioner noted that the Honourable Minister had personally visited and assessed the various federal road construction projects in Kogi State and subsequently directed the state ministry to maintain close supervision to guarantee quality execution, timely delivery, and value for public investment. He warned contractors handling the projects to comply fully with approved specifications and contractual obligations, stressing that any deviation from the laid-down guidelines would not be tolerated.
