Today being 10th April, 2026, the Hon. Commissioner for Works Barrister Abdulsalami Ozigi Deedat, hands over the construction of the International Airport Duacarage Road Project to the Contractor Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC ). According to the Hon. Commissioner the road project is not only about aviation but also a deliberate effort to drive economic diversification and long-term growth. The Commissioner For Works said the contract is expected to be completed within 18 months. When completed the state government will enhance the socio-economic profile of the state and open up new opportunities for artisans, small businesses, and large-scale enterprises. He explained that the road project forms part of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s economic expansion agenda and is designed to improve connectivity, ease movement and attract investment to the state being the Cardinal periority of the state government. The Hon. Commissioner use this media to appreciate the chief servant of the state, His Excellency, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo for the enviable hight where he is taking the state to, in terms of infrastructural development.
