The Kogi State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has presented its 2025 budget performance report and proposed its 2026 budget to the Kogi State House of Assembly, outlining an ambitious strategy to enhance housing and infrastructure development throughout the State.
Representing the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, the Permanent Secretary, ESV (Dr.) Obadaki Zainab, detailed the Ministry’s significant achievements in 2025 and articulated its key priorities for the upcoming year.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s fundamental mandate to design and implement capital projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving housing accessibility, and ensuring the proper maintenance of government buildings and public facilities across Kogi State.
She highlighted the Ministry’s notable accomplishments in 2025, including the completion of major projects and the steady advancement of ongoing initiatives that align with the State’s development vision and reflect the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, to enhancing living conditions.
The Ministry emphasized that its 2026 budget proposal is strategically crafted to accelerate housing delivery, expand infrastructure, and improve the overall quality of life for residents throughout the State.
