…….. Promises support for their business

Lokoja, Kogi State.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has hailed the Ibo community in Lokoja for their peaceful and harmonious relationship with other ethnic groups in the state. The Governor made this remark while addressing the Ibo community today at the Muhammad Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, Kogi State, during the Ibo Cultural Day celebration.

Governor Ododo who commended the Ibos for their entrepreneurial drive, also promised his support for their business.
In his words, “Let me first thank you for the support you gave to my Administration from the very beginning, you believed in our vision, you participated actively in the Democratic Process and you have continued to stand by us.” That alone he said would encourage his support for them.

The Governor also expressed his appreciation to Hon. Barr Moses Okeze Okafor, the Kogi State Director General of Research and Development, for his integrity, professionalism, and total commitment to the success of his administration.

The Governor further expressed his profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his efforts in building a more prosperous Nigeria. “I thank Mr. President sincerely for the business support he has given to my Administration to make Kogi State centre of opportunities,” he said.

The Governor congratulated the Ibos on their special day, thanking them for their support during the last election. “I thank you for your support, and I assure you that we will continue to work together to build a better Kogi State,” he added.

Chief Sunday Solomon Wachukwu JP, the President General of Igbo Community Association, Lokoja, while delivering his keynote address, highlighted the significance of the Ibo Cultural Day celebration.

Unwachukwu is his speech noted that “We gather to celebrate the richness and diversity of our cultural heritage. Ibo Day is a celebration of our identity, our traditions, and our values. It is a time for us to come together and strengthen our community.

“This celebration is unique and historic because it marks the end of an administrative tenure of a government. We are glad that this administration has brought about peace, unity, and love amongst us.

He finally requested support for the renovation of their Hall into an Ultra-Modern Hall, and asked for the generosity of the general public to fulfill the task.

The Kogi State
Director General of Research and Development Hon. Barr Moses Okeze Okafor tasked the Ibo people to have a reflection on their journey within Nigeria.

He further advised the Ibo community to give their support to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.
