The Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi, FCA, received the newly posted Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kogi State Command, Commandant Aletan Olumide, who was on a courtesy visit to his office.

During the visit, Commandant Olumide stated that having recently assumed duty in the state, it was important for him to familiarise himself with key stakeholders in order to build strong working relationships that will enhance security operations. He emphasized that effective collaboration with strategic government institutions remains vital to achieving the Corps’ mandate of safeguarding lives, property, and critical infrastructure.

“As a new person in the state, it is only natural for me to engage relevant stakeholders. This will not only strengthen operational synergy but also create better opportunities to serve the state and the nation at large,” he said.

In his response, the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Evinemi, expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the Commandant for the thoughtful gesture. He assured him of the continuous support and cooperation of the Office of the Head of Civil Service, noting that security remains a collective responsibility.

Dr. Evinemi further charged the Commandant to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the ongoing efforts to combat insecurity in the state. He encouraged him to work diligently and leave a lasting footprint of excellence and impact during his stewardship in Kogi State.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Kogi State Government under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA to strengthening partnerships with all security agencies to ensure sustained peace and safety across the state.
