In fulfilment of his campaign promises and his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved, mobilised, and completed over 10 kilometres of township roads in each of the 21 local government areas of the state. During a tour of ongoing projects with journalists in Mopa town, Mopamuro Local Government Area, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Muhammed Avohi Yusuf explained that the governor had directed the Kogi State Roads Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA) to deliver not less than 10 kilometres of township roads in every local government. Engr. Yusuf reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across the state. He noted that the 10km road project in Yagba West had been completed, while similar projects were ongoing in Mopamuro and Yagba East LGAs. "We are here to showcase what His Excellency is doing in terms of road infrastructure. In Mopa town, we are constructing 10 kilometres of township roads. Already, four kilometres of asphalt have been laid, and the earthwork for the entire stretch has been completed. Once the rains are over, the remaining six kilometres will be fully asphalted,” Yusuf assured. On his part, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo emphasized that the Ododo administration was deliberately decentralizing development to reach rural areas. He said before now that projects were concentrated in urban areas.
