Women in Kogi State have been charged to participate actively in politics.
Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe made call while receiving a group of women called Eleojo Igala Women Association for Ododo/Joel organization in his office in Lokoja.
Hon. Monday Anyebe advised them to participate fully in politics and support the current Leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He said their coming out for the endorsement of Governor Ahmed Usman for second term in office was a welcome development, saying they should extend their campaign to the rural areas in the state with utmost sincerity.
The Commissioner said the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is a Government of all, especially the women and Youth, citing the numerous programmes for women and Youths as examples.
Hon Monday Anyebe explained that the government of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo centered on Youth development with a number of Youths appointed into his administration.
The Commissioner assured the group of the current administration’s partnership by accommodating them in government policies and programmes.
He called on women and Youths in the state to continue to support the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for more dividends of democracy.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to them for the visit and endorsement of the Governor, appealing to them to continue in the campaign and support at all times to ensure the success of the administration.
Speaking earlier, the Coodinator of Association, Mallama Fatima Abuh said the endorsement of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was based on his track records in the development of the state.
Mallama Fatima Abuh said the Association has resolved to work collectively for the reelection of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and His Deputy, Elder Joel Oyibo.
She described the performance of the State Governor as impressive and assured of their readiness to work for his reelection come Twenty Twenty seven general election.
Mallama Fatima Abuh thanked the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for his commitment to the growth and development of the Ministry, especially on the Youth and women empowerment programmes in the state.
Highlight of the visit was a special prayer for the Governor, his cabinet members and the women folk.
