Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi, FCA, has been honoured with a Role Model Leadership Award by the De-Greater Height Front (De-GHF) Association in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities and commitment to the development of the civil service in the state.

The Award was presented during a courtesy visit by top members of the Association led by its President, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa-Amoka, at the Office of the Head of Service.

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Isa-Amoka commended the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, for his remarkable strides, especially in the prompt payment of salaries and the prioritization of workers’ welfare.

He applauded Dr. Evinemi’s dedication to duty, describing him as a pragmatic and visionary leader whose exemplary conduct continues to inspire confidence across the civil service.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of the Role Model Leadership Award to Dr. Evinemi by the President of the group. The award, he noted, is in recognition of the Head of Service’s tireless efforts toward effective service delivery and the promotion of unity within the public service.

In his response, Dr. Elijah Evinemi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Association for the recognition, dedicating the award to all civil servants in the state.

“This award is for all of us. It shows that people are watching even when we think no one is,” he said. “I sincerely appreciate this gesture, and I want to assure you that we will continue to do our best in upholding the values of service through accountability, and utmost efficiency.”

He also used the occasion to call on the De-GHF group to be ambassadors of peace and unity by collaborating with other like-minded associations to foster peaceful coexistence in the state.

“At a time when insecurity is a growing concern, it is imperative for associations like yours to join hands and play a role in building a united and safe society. Unity remains our greatest strength, and together, we can come up with meaningful measures to curb insecurity and promote lasting peace,” he added.
