The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Honourable Kingsley Femi Fanwo has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Aare Afimojoye of Ekinrin Adde Land. The Chieftancy Title was conferred on the Honourable Commissioner by His Royal Highness Oba Olu Anthony Gbamigbaiye Idowu, the Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde and the Council of Chiefs of the kingdom during the 2025 Ekinrin Adde Day.
According to the Traditional Ruler of Ekinrin Adde, the esteemed Chieftancy was conferred on the Honourable Commissioner as a result of his significant efforts in human and capital developments across the State, saying the Kingdom is proud of him.
“We love the way you do your work and we are proud of you, hence the conferment of this highly esteemed chieftaincy title on you”, the Royal Father said.
In his acceptance speech at the ceremony, Hon. Fanwo thanked the Royal Father and the Traditional Council for finding him worthy of such a prestigious honour.
“I sincerely express my profound gratitude to the Ekinrin Adde community for this honour graciously bestowed upon me. I am sincerely touched by the trust and confidence that your esteemed council has placed on me.
“Ekinrin Adde is a community known for her industry; a pace setter when it comes to community development initiative. I will continue to contribute my quota to the development of our Ekinrin Adde.
“This honour does not only reaffirms the cherished bond I share with the community, but also serves as a significant responsibility to uphold the values and traditions associated with this esteemed title. I am committed to supporting the development, unity, and the cultural heritage of Ekinrin Adde”, he assured.
The Commissioner also donated the sum of one million naira in support of the development of the Ekinrin Adde community.
