The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka says the debt Liquidation of ninety eight point eight billion naira by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is a strategic way of ensuring aggressive development of the State. Comrade Edoka, while speaking on the positive development in Lokoja, noted that the Governor's efforts at paying such debts owed by previous administrations demonstrated his political will at ensuring responsive governance. According to him, the state is being properly positioned for socio economic, infrastructural and human development devoid of any form of sentiment. Comrade Edoka commended the Governor for taking the bold step, which he noted is exemplary and first of its kind in the history of the State. "It is important to State it clearly that no government or Governor has liquidated such quantum of debts, it is on record, rather, they continue to pile up debts in the name of development, but now, we can see that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has done it differently again, this shows he has a large heart indeed and he should be commended for this singular initiative because 98.8 billion naira is never a small money", Comrade Edoka stated. The Special Adviser explained that with this, there is guarantee in both human and infrastructural development across Kogi State, just as the people can see his attention to the welfare of the people and even workers, roads construction and sound economic policies which are capable of turning around the fortunes of Kogi State. …
