The Honourable Commissioner for Health convened a pivotal meeting with the Heads of Health Institutions and Directors from the Ministry, aimed at enhancing collaboration and dialogue on critical health issues. The primary objective of this gathering was to unite key stakeholders to discuss successes, challenges, and innovative solutions for advancing the health sector in Kogi State.

During the meeting, the Commissioner underscored the significance of inter-agency collaboration, asserting that no single agency or institution can function effectively in isolation. He encouraged participants to engage openly, sharing their experiences, achievements, and obstacles, with the collective aim of identifying actionable solutions to improve health outcomes across the state.

The meeting’s format includes brief presentations from each institution, highlighting their key areas of focus, successes, and challenges. The Commissioner noted that this approach would enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of the health structure in the state and facilitate informed discussions.

In attendance were key stakeholders, including the Permanent Secretary, Executive Directors, CMDs, Provosts, and Directors of the Ministry. Notably, the Kogi State House Committee on Health, led by Hon. Ochidi, participated in the interaction, providing valuable contributions and suggestions on strengthening the health sector.

The ultimate goal of this initiative is to create a platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, share knowledge, and contribute to policy development. By working together, the Ministry aims to improve the health and well-being of the people of Kogi State.
