Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency, KOSSAA, has launched the vehicle branding 2025 stickers.
This is part of efforts to ensure orderliness, regulation, and control of branded vehicles, tricycles, and motorcycles for the security of lives and property of the people.
Kogi State Commissioner of Information, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo in his goodwill message at the Revenue House Lokoja, venue of the event, described the initiative as a welcome idea that would boost the state internally generated revenue which would help the state to engage more in infrastructural development.
He assured the stakeholders and citizenry of the judicious use of the state resources, noting that the Chief servant of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is fully prepared to bring transformative development to all the sectors in state.
The Hon. Commissioner who was represented by the Director Information Services, Alhaji Ademu Seidu Haruna urged the stakeholders to educate people about the new initiative, assuring KOSSA of maximum support and collaboration in order to ensure that the information gets across to the nooks and crannies of the state through the Ministry’s media houses.
In a remark, the State Commissioner of Transportation, Mr Levi Atuluku, who was represented at the occasion, appealed for total collaboration to ensure success.
The Transport Commissioner, who was also represented, warned against acts that are counterproductive, assuring that the present administration in the State was ready to make a positive difference in administration.
The Director MDAs and other revenue, Kogi State Internal Revenue Services, Hajia Hassana Salawu in her remarks, explained that KOSSAA is an agency that operates with a law called Signage and Advertisement Law of Kogi State, explaining that the state ensures that the practice and procedures are maintained and respected as being practised in other parts of the country.
Hajiah Hassana Salawu stated that advertisement and branding would generate revenue awesomely for the state as well as ensure regulations and control.
She explained that the Vehicle Branding 2025 Stickers would improve urban orderliness, security and accountability, and urged the stakeholders and the citizens to comply and cooperate with Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Kogi State Ministry of Transport and Kogi State Urban and Rural Development to ensure a well planned vehicle branding 2025 stickers.
She charged the relevant stakeholders to ensure that branded vehicles, tricycles, and motorcycles are registered, verified, and compliant to ensure that the roads can become a regulated enterprise and not a zone of confusion.
The Managing Director, Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Hon. Richard Osaseyi emphasized that vehicle branding is an expanded name for mobile advert, noting that one of the mandate and responsibilities of KOSSAA is to capture all the branded vehicles in Kogi State.
He encouraged the relevant stakeholders to cooperate maximally to make the work easier for the agency.
