Corps members deployed to kogi State have been assured of government support to their wellbeing.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the assurance during the swearing in ceremony of the Twenty Twenty five Batch A Stream One Orientation Course at Asaya today
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo said his government will do everything possible to make them feel comfortable during and after their service Year in the state.
The Governor who was Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Aridaojo Monday Anyebe urged the corps members to put the Nation first in all the do during their service Year in the state and Nigeria at large.
Think first as a Nigerian before any other consideration and join hands with the administration to carry out a total transmission to further develop the state and keep it from crimes and criminalities says Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Governor said his administration will not fail to reward corps members who distinguish themselves in the different sectors of the economy during their service Year in the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo said government is making adequate efforts to upgrade the Orientation Camp to compete favourably with other camps in the country.
The Governor advised them to key into the skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme to enhance their chance of becoming self-employed during and after their service Year in the state.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo called on the security agencies both in the camp and the neighborhood to ensure adequate camp security for the corps members participants during their National assignment in the state.
The Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the management of the NYSC scheme in kogi state for sustaining the vision of the NYSC founding fathers through the effective management of the scheme.
The Governor declared Over One Thousand corps members who participated at the Twenty Twenty five Batch A Stream One Orientation Course at Asaya open.
Speaking, kogi state coordinator of the scheme Mr Femi Osungbohun warned the corps members to against indiscipline in the camp and changed them to mentaine the rules and regulations at the Orientation Course in the camp.
Mr. Femi Osungbohun thanked the Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo
for his efforts and support to the NYSC scheme in the state so far and assured the Governor of their loyalty support to his administration in the state.
