The Kogi State Ministry of Health and SightSavers have made a significant impact in the state’s healthcare sector through their partnership to provide free hydrocele surgeries. This initiative has benefited 20 additional patients
This groundbreaking collaboration saw 20 patients receive surgical treatment for hydrocele, a condition characterized by abnormal enlargement of the private parts.
The surgeries were conducted by a team of skilled doctors and nurses at three centers across the state: Mohammed Buhari Mother and Child Hospital in Iruvichonomi, Zonal Hospital Idah, and Zonal Hospital Kabba. Each center, strategically located in a different senatorial district, ensured accessibility for patients in need.
Dr. Ayo Olayemi, Chief Medical Director of the Hospital Management Board, oversaw the successful execution of the surgeries on behalf of the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza. Patients expressed profound gratitude for the Programme , acknowledging the dedication of the medical team and the support of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
