Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adaiza, emphasized that this project is a crucial part of the state government’s strategic plan to enhance access to high-quality healthcare services for its citizens.

Acknowledging the support of the World Bank and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in prioritizing healthcare for all Nigerians, Governor Ododo expressed gratitude for their contributions to this initiative.

The ongoing upgrade of 70 PHCs is already in progress, with the commitment to complete the revamping of all 88

centres in phases. This effort underscores the state government’s dedication to providing top-notch healthcare services and marks a significant milestone in achieving this objective.

The ultimate goal of this initiative is to elevate more than 150 primary healthcare institutions to functional level-2 health facilities, thereby improving healthcare accessibility throughout the state.

In a goodwill message, Commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Mohammed Danladi Farouk, praised Governor Ododo for building upon the accomplishments of his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello. He highlighted the selection of Model Primary Health Centre Felele for upgrading as a commendable decision that will benefit the growing population of the Felele community.

Chairman of the Ward Development Community in Oworo, also expressed appreciation to the state government for including Felele community in the ongoing revitalization of PHCs.

The Executive Director of KSPHCDA urged contractors to adhere to timelines, budget constraints, and maintain the highest standards of quality in delivering these projects. This commitment to excellence will ensure the successful completion of this vital healthcare initiative.

Community leaders and members are also encouraged to take ownership of the projects and provide feedback to ensure the facilities meet their specific needs.
