In a bid to sensitize the public about the new proposed tax reform, the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning has organized a one-day citizens' engagement and interactive session on Tax Reform Bills. In his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris, stated that the initiative aims to foster collaboration between the government and citizens, ensuring that the voices of the people are heard in the formulation of the bills. He said the purpose of this engagement is to provide a platform for citizens to engage with policymakers, understand the importance of the proposed tax reform, and explore how it can benefit the state.
