The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has officially announced the reconstitution of the Chairman and Permanent Commissioners of the Kogi State Local Government Service Commission.
In a statement released on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, the Governor stated that this decision is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of local governance across the state.
The Chairman, Hon Adabenege Adams, and the Permanent Commissioners, Hon Elisha Peter Folurunsho, Hon Ahmodu Yakubu O, Hon Babadoko Suleiman, and Attai Okolo Musa Prince Salami Abdulraheem., bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of service to their positions. Their appointments are part of the Governor’s ongoing commitment to reform and strengthen local government structures, thereby improving service delivery at the grassroots level.
According to His Excellency, “The reconstitution is a crucial step in ensuring our local government service commissions are staffed with dedicated individuals who share our vision of progress and accountability. I am confident that this team will spearhead initiatives that promote transparency, enhance administrative functions, and actively engage citizens in governance.”
The Kogi State Local Government Service Commission plays a vital role in overseeing the recruitment, training, and promotion of local government staff, ensuring that the communities across our great state are served by competent and motivated personnel. The team will work closely with the state government to implement policies that enhance operational efficiency and foster good governance.
In their first joint statement after their induction at the State House of Assembly Complex in Lokoja today, the Chairman Hon Adabenege and the Permanent Commissioners expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them by the Governor. “We are honored to continue this responsibility and are committed to serving the people of Kogi State with dedication and integrity

The Governor encourages all stakeholders, including the newly Elected Local government Chairmen of the 21 Local government Areas of the State, community leaders, and citizens, to support the new commission as they embark on this journey of transformation and progress.
