A total of one thousand, three hundred and twenty-six Corps members were deployed to Kogi State and each received twenty thousand Naira to assist with their needs.

The State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, made this generous donation during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream One orientation course at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Asaya, Kabba Local Government Area.

Governor Ododo, represented by his Deputy Governor, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, emphasized that this financial support was intended to motivate the Corps members to make a positive impact during their assignment in the state.

He assured them that their hard work and dedication would be recognized and rewarded at the end of their service year.

The Governor urged the Corps members to demonstrate diligence, selflessness, and hard work in order to earn their rewards.

He also called on employers, communities, and residents of the state to welcome the Corps members warmly and support them in their endeavors.

Governor Ododo reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of the Corps members throughout their service year and beyond.

He also pledged to improve the facilities at the orientation camp in Asaya.

Speaking the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A. Anyebe, advised the Corps members to avoid any activities or locations that could jeopardize their well-being during and after their service year in Kogi State.
