Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has promised to market Kogi to the world.
The Governor made this known while unveiling the official monthly magazine of the Kogi State Government, Kogi Strides, in his office, Thursday.
He commended the Kogi State Ministry of Information for the launch of the Magazine, saying it is important to constantly inform the people of Government activities.
“As we continue to serve our people, it is important we inform them and also get feedback for better service. I am the Chief Servant of the people and I have dedicated everything in me to the service of our people.
“Kogi Strides will tell our story at home and abroad and the world will see the reason to invest in our dear State”, he said.
The Governor further restated his commitment to immediately return Radio Kogi, Ochaja back to life, urging communities to own and protect Government infrastructure in their domain.
In his response, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo thanked the Governor for his unalloyed commitment to the development of the information sector in the State.
Fanwo said the Ministry has no excuse not to deliver on its mandate as the Governor has provided all the required support to ensure the people of the state are well informed about Government programs, projects and policies.
The unveiling ceremony was witnessed by the Speaker , Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Umar Yusuf; Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem; State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Deedat Momodu Ozigi; Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Hon. Bashir Gegu; Commissioner for Energy and Rural Development; Engr Abdulmutalib Mohammed and other top government officials.
