The Kogi State Government has again reaffirm its steadfast support for democracy and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This commitment was reiterated today, June 12, 2024, in Lokoja during an event titled “Renewed Hope Agenda: Celebrating President Bola Tinubu’s Unprecedented Achievements and Consolidation of Democracy.”
The Hon Commissioner for Information and Communications Hon Kingsley Femi Fanwo speaking at the event, emphasized that democracy has empowered the youth to play a significant role in governance, shifting the narrative from street protests to active participation in decision-making processes.
He congratulated the youth and the entire nation on 25 years of uninterrupted, unbroken, and unblemished democratic governance.
Hon Fanwo highlighted the significance of this year’s Democracy Day celebration, noting that Nigeria now has an activist as President for the first time.
He assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Kogi State’s unwavering support for his reform and developmental agenda outlined in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He urged the youth and citizens to rally behind President Tinubu, recognizing him as the leader capable of guiding Nigeria to its promised land.
The Commissioner acknowledged that the journey may be challenging initially, but expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to address Nigeria’s issues effectively.
He took the opportunity to appeal to President Tinubu to prioritize the needs of the poor and marginalized, emphasizing that even the best autocratic system cannot compare to the worst aspects of democracy.
In his message, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Monday Anyebe, encouraged the youth to continue advocating for government support, ensuring their voices are heard and their aspirations realized.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering dedication to democracy and urged the youth to emulate his commitment.
In the opening remark by the Special Adviser to Gov Ododo on Youths and Students matters, Hon Oladele John Nihi emphasized that the remarkable strive to strengthen the Democracy and improve the lives of the Nigerians.
Expressing his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support towards His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
