The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tajani Anaje, has  called on the people of Kogi State to prioritize unity and set aside ethnic differences.

He stated this at his palace, when Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Monday A Anyebe paid him a visit at his palace in Okene.

The Ohinoyi who emphasized the importance of all tribes within the state coming together as one cohesive family, stressed the need to reject tribal sentiments and instead focus on collective progress and development.

Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed highlighted the significance of Igalas, Ebiras, and Okuns viewing each other as siblings, underscoring that peace, unity, and stability are essential for societal advancement.

Expressing gratitude for the Commissioner’s visit, the Ohinoyi commended the timely gesture and urged him to inspire the youth to lead positive lives for their own benefit.

In response, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Anyebe, shared insights into the government’s vision and mission for youth development.

He outlined Governor Usman Ododo’s plans for empowering the state’s youth through various programs.

Hon Anyebe also informed the Ohinoyi of the forthcoming Youth Empowerment Programmes and emphasized the importance of involving traditional rulers for their invaluable guidance and support.

Acknowledging Ohinoyi’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and stability, the Commissioner expressed appreciation and encouraged continued collaboration towards these shared goals.

Accompanying the Commissioner were Hon Charity Omole, Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Women Mobilization, and Comrade Benjamin the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
