Stakeholders of the Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria have unanimously commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment to including youth in his administration.

This commendation was made during a stakeholders meeting with the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Lokoja. Speaker after speaker at the meeting described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration as impressive in terms of youth development.

Dr. Haruna Opotu Yusuff, the Pioneer Chairman of the Association in the state, highlighted the commendable commitment of the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to youth development. The stakeholders of the NYCN have unanimously resolved to express their support and loyalty to the present administration for its efforts in youth development.

Dr. Opotu Haruna Yusuff also praised the massive appointments of youth in the administration under Governor Ahmed Usman, stating that they are pleased with the government and calling for support from all in the state.

Mr. Benjamin Jeremiah, the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, noted that the inclusion of NYCN in the Kogi State budget was a first under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He assured of the total support and dedication of the state executives and youth towards the present administration.

Mr. Benjamin Jeremiah also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the prompt monthly payment of NYCN subvention, calling on the youth in the state to continue supporting the administration.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo receiving support and prayers for success. He assured those present of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to inclusivity by involving them in decision-making processes.

In conclusion, the stakeholders were addressed by the NYCN stakeholders, who emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in furthering youth empowerment initiatives in the state.

In attendance at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mallam Jibo Haruna Muhammed, the Director of Youth in the Ministry, Mrs. Motunrayo Babatunde, state executives of the Association, and all twenty-one local government coordinators of the NYCN in the state.

James Sani, Information Officer at the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Lokoja, provided updates on behalf of the Ministry.
