In a monumental stride toward empowering Kogi entrepreneurs, His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has finalized arrangements to provide subsidized Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration for G10,000 businesses across the state. This initiative is set to revolutionize the business landscape by enabling MSMEs to formalize their operations, gain credibility, and access life-changing funding opportunities.

The Director and CEO of the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), Hon. Muhammed Kadiri Okeji, commended the governor’s exceptional commitment to MSME development, particularly in the digital economy.

Governor Ododo’s focus on empowering businesses with tools to thrive in today’s competitive economy is commendable. This initiative shows his dedication to creating a robust, digitally inclusive entrepreneurial environment in Kogi State,” Okeji stated.

Unlocking Opportunities with CAC Registration

This initiative comes at a time when the Federal Government, through the Bank of Industry (BoI), has commenced the disbursement of a N75 billion single-digit loan for MSMEs. As highlighted by Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, this fund is aimed at empowering small businesses to thrive in Nigeria’s competitive economy.

Formal business registration is a key requirement for accessing such opportunities. By securing subsidized CAC registration for 10,000 businesses, Governor Ododo is ensuring that Kogi entrepreneurs are not left out of these national-level initiatives. Registered businesses can now tap into this funding and other federal programs to expand operations, adopt digital tools, and achieve sustainable growth.

Governor Ododo’s Unwavering Support for MSMEs

Governor Ododo’s unwavering dedication to supporting entrepreneurship is a testament to his progressive leadership. This initiative underscores his commitment to reducing unemployment, fostering innovation, and positioning Kogi State as a hub for thriving businesses.

Entrepreneurs in Kogi State are urged to prepare and take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity. By formalizing their businesses, they will not only qualify for funding but also unlock new pathways to market access, partnerships, and growth in the digital economy.
