Corps members deplored to Kogi State can rest assured that the government is fully committed to ensuring their welfare and security throughout and beyond their service year.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo emphasized that his administration will prioritize the well-being and safety of Corps members serving in the state.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo conveyed this message during the Swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch A Stream II Corps members at the permanent orientation Camp Asaya in Kabba Local Government Area.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A Anyebe, the Governor pledged ongoing support for youth orientation programs that enhance their skills.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the government and people of Kogi State to Corps members during and after their service year.

He reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the welfare and security of all individuals, particularly Corps members, and affirmed his dedication to their inclusion in state initiatives.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo urged Corps members to prioritize their safety by being vigilant in their assigned locations and avoiding unnecessary risks.

He encouraged them to take advantage of the remaining eleven months of their service year to engage in NYSC skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs, fostering self-reliance for their future.

Furthermore, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the state Governing Board, NYSC Coordinator, staff, and collaborating agencies for ensuring a smooth Orientation Course for Corps members, urging them to maintain their efforts.

In his remarks, the state Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr. Femi Osungbchun, disclosed that over three thousand Corps members have been deployed to Kogi State for national service.

Mr Femi Osungbchun advised the Corps members to take the orientation Camp exercise seriously by follow the rules and regulations of the Camp.

The state Coordinator appealed to the state government help them with some of their needs especially the fencing of the orientation Camp and thanked the state government for their support to the NYSC scheme in the state so far.
