The Ministry of Information and Communications, led by Commissioner Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, defended its 2025 Budget Proposals on December 10, 2025.
The Budget Defence took place at the Kogi State House of Assembly Complex in Lokoja, with Chairman Appropriations Hon. Olawumi Jacob, Information committee Chairman Hon. (Prince) Prince Bode Ogunmola, and other principal officers in attendance.
Hon. Commissioner Kingsley Fanwo, represented by Permanent Secretary Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, emphasized the Ministry’s role in disseminating information to the public to raise awareness about government policies and programs and gather feedback. He urged the Honourable House to allocate necessary resources to the Ministry’s activities in the upcoming year to fulfill its mandate effectively and efficiently.
House Committee Chairman on Information Hon. (Prince) Bode Ogunmola, in his opening remarks, praised His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his outstanding performance and pledged the House’s full support to continue the positive work.
Prince Ogunmola assured the Ministry of maximum cooperation and support from the State House to ensure activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
The Budget Defence was attended by the Ministry’s Management Teams, the Graphics Newspaper, and Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation.
