In line with the mandate of Kogi State Ministry of Works to deliver quality projects that will serve Kogites, the State Commissioner for Works Hon. Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf has call for a peaceful collaboration of all telecommunications operators within the state and its environs .

Hon. Engr Yusuf said this while having a meeting with the representatives of telecommunications companies and members of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Kogi State Command along side with Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications in his office on Wednesday.

Hon. Engr Yusuf emphasized that before any telecom projects must be carried out, the Ministry of Works must be in a know for proper verification and supervision to avoid future hazards caused in other to prevent and protect lives.
Adding that the ministry is always ready to deliver on its mandate by constructing quality projects and the doors of the ministry is open for collaboration and synergy at anytime they are call upon, because as engineers they are problems solvers in the society and they offer solutions when need arises.

Also speaking the State Commissioner for Ministry of Information and Communications Hon. Kingsley Fanwo said that the State Ministry of Works will not rest on its oars unless the right things are carried out by the telecom operators and also his ministry is not left out because everything must align with the directive of the State Government and Ministry of Works is a Vocal Channel between the State and Telecommunications Operators in terms of Telecom Projects across the State because the have the right and good engineers who are ready to carry out any tasks.
Pointing out that security and safety of the people must be protected.

Responding Kogi State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Commandant O. E. Ebenezer said that they are here to maintain peace and order in the State and by extension Nigeria at large and any wrong doings must be reported to their office, and any telecom projects are supposed to be protected by them and part of their job is to safeguard lives and properties oo people in the State.

Akinlemibola Joe who represented MTN Nigeria, spoke on behalf of the telecom operators said that they appreciate the State Government for giving them a peaceful environment to work on and they expressed their gratitude to the a State Commissioner for Works and Information for extending a good platform to work upon and appreciating the NSCDC for protecting the telecom projects in the State adding that this meeting is long over due and the promised to comply with the Rules and Regulations that is banding them in other for peace to prevail in the State.
