The Kogi State Government has been praised for its innovative approach to drugs and medical supplies management. The Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency has received commendation for its efficient distribution of drugs and medical supplies to health facilities across the state.

During a recent tour of selected hospitals by Mr Rotimi Odofin , the state ministry of health information officer, the Medical Officers and heads of service delivery units expressed confidence and satisfaction with the agency’s prompt Last Mile Delivery (LMD) operations. They appreciated the Executive Governor, Commissioner for Health, and the Executive Secretary of the agency for making it possible to deliver medical supplies directly to hospital doorsteps.

Pharm. Barnabas Kayode, Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Kogi State Hospital Management Board, Isanlu, and other heads of pharmacy departments in various hospitals, thanked the government for the initiative and urged continued funding and provision of more delivery Vehicles to improve lead time and sustain the program.

Pharmacist Abdulahi Itopa Momoh, Head of Pharmacy Department, Kogi State Confluence University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital, Okene, praised the Governor for empowering the agency, stating that the institution now receives high-quality and cost-effective drugs and medical supplies.

Pharmacist Yakubu Abdulwaliu of Ultra modern Hospital Badoko, Dr Idris of Ultra modern Hospital Gegu, Mr Abdullahi Yunusa, the Pharm. Tech. of General Hospital Adogo , the head of Pharmacy, Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching hospital Ayingba, and other Head of Service Delivery Unit of the hospital also granted the interview

The agency’s efforts have been attributed to the conducive environment fostered by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, with the support of Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, and the technical expertise of Executive Secretary, Pharmacist Salamat Onize Ibrahim.

Hospitals in the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have saluted the government for this bold step in supply chain management, praying for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s continued progress and appreciating the Commissioner for Health and the Executive Secretary of the agency for their efforts.
