The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, has urged the Christian community in the state to strengthen their prayers for the ongoing success of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration.
Addressing the congregation at the United Evangelical Church in Lokoja on November 24, 2024, Comrade Salifu underscored the significance of unwavering support and prayers from worshippers towards the government.
Comrade Salifu commended Governor Ododo for his humility and commitment to serving the state, underscoring the necessity for increased prayers to ensure the Governor’s triumph. He also highlighted the values of patience and loyalty, encouraging individuals to persevere in their pursuits and have faith that breakthroughs will come in due time.
The Deputy Governor pledged to maintain an open-door policy for all residents of the state, welcoming feedback and constructive criticism. He urged the populace to engage with him to offer ideas for the collective well-being of the state.
During his sermon, Reverend Samuel Essien urged the congregation to reject sinful behavior and uphold their integrity. He emphasized the importance of consistent prayers for leaders in positions of authority, stressing the weight of leadership responsibilities.
