The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, has called upon the Christian community to rally behind the current administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
During a meeting with the Concerned Christian Brothers and Sisters’ group in his office in Lokoja on October 22, 2024, the Deputy Governor stressed the importance of supporting Governor Ododo, whom he described as a divine blessing guiding the state towards progress. He urged the group to intensify their prayers for peace and success for the Governor.
Salifu praised Governor Ododo for his Christ-like qualities and dedication to good governance, citing recent approvals for minimum wage and pension harmonization adjustments along with Health Insurance Scheme coverage.
He highlighted the shared goals outlined in the group’s 7-point agenda and encouraged active participation in politics to influence decision-making for the betterment of the state.
The leader of the group, Elder Akoh Ogaji Enape, expressed gratitude for the Deputy Governor’s involvement and pledged unwavering support for the Government of Kogi State. The group was encouraged to engage in politics to influence decision-making, as this is crucial for producing better leaders.
This meeting exemplifies the collaborative efforts between the Kogi State government and community groups to advance progress and development in the nation.
