‎The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable AridaOjo Monday Anyebe has assured that youths will continue to receive due attention and exhibit high ethical standards in line with the policy drive of the present administration in Kogi State.

‎Honourable AridaOjo Monday Anyebe stated this while receiving an award of Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience from a Non-Governmental Organization, Center for Ethics and Self -Value Orientation in his office in Lokoja.

‎He said so far, his leadership has displayed high level of transparency with necessary attention to the youths,

‎emphasizing that as leaders of both today and tomorrow, youths should be seen to live above board.

‎Mr Anyebe said the Ministry would continue to mobilize youths  for inclusive governance as well as promote sporting activities for their unity, well-being and overall development.

‎The Commissioner appreciated the Center for the Award and dedicated the award to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving the Ministry the enablement environment to thrive.

‎On the Youth House, the Commissioner assured that a committee has been set up for an independent fund raising towards giving the youths a befitting house for relaxation and other activities.

‎He called for massive support for the proposed Youth House and urged the committee to live above board.

‎Earlier, the Executive Director of the Center, Prince Sally Musa Yakubu said the Award tagged “Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience” was specially designed for people who have distinguished themselves in all ramifications.

‎According to Prince Sally, the vision of past heroes are yet to be realized due to corruption in our national system, stressing that the Commissioner was

‎singled out for the award because of his integrity and quality services being rendered to the people of the State.

‎He said corruption had festered deep into the Country because of poor moral ethical values, adding that those who have lived above board, like the Commissioner, should be celebrated.

‎”The call for ethical conduct is therefore imperative, hence the body will continue to expose corruption. This Commissioner has no iota of corruption whatsoever, saying the present administration should be commended for appointing such a vibrant and dependable youth as Commissioner.

‎That he has turned the sleeping Ministry to a vibrant one, with highly innovative skills, including institutional strengthening calls for recognition, he has of course

‎demonstrated simplicity, listening skills, and Consistency in office”, Prince Sally remarked”.

‎The Management Staff of the Ministry were equally presented with certificates of recognition for their roles, while the Information Officer of the Ministry, Comrade James Sani also bagged an Award of effective media representation.

‎Highlight of the event was the unveiling of the prototype design of the proposed State Secretariat of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, which is expected to be built in Lokoja the State capital.
