The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat has received the Emani clan in his office today. Members of the Emani clan came en mass to Lokoja with the deposed Obobanyi of Emani, HRH Samuel Adai Onimisi in his move for a peaceful resolution and reinstatement.
The Commissioner rolled out the prerequisites for reinstatement to them. He further revealed that reinstatement can be considered only when the prerequisites are met.
The Obobanyi tendered his apology letter and stated that the process of withdrawing the court case is ongoing.
The Commissioner encouraged all traditional rulers to see themselves as ambassadors of peace and harmony in their domains.
