Kogi State Ministry of Education has organised a One Day Refresher Training for the Administrative Staff on “Office Routine, Office Work Ethics and It’s Practice in the Civil Service ‘
The workshop was held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the State Ministry of Education Lokoja and was declared open by the State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones.
The Commissioner stated that the training would bring effective quality service delivery and would also ensure that the right things are done for the overall benefit of the State.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Alabi Albert Bamigbade , he said that the Ministry would organise more training for the staff to enhance their productivity and called on the participants to avail themselves of the opportunity presented by the training programme to broaden their knowledge on the Civil Service Rules.
In the paper presentations, the Director Administration Hajia. Mariam Mohammed harped on the “Application of Public Service Rules with emphasis on Leave Management/ Matters and Misconduct,” while the Staff Officer of the Ministry Mr. Abubakar Ahmed talked on Office Routine and Office Work Ethics centred on Gross Misconduct.
Speaking, one of the Participants Mr. Solomon Zekeri commended the Commissioner and the Management of the Ministry for organising the workshop for the Staff.
He noted that the training came at the time when the staff are in dear need of the information to refresh their memories.
