The Kogi State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq., has underscored the importance of punctuality, discipline, and dedication to duty as essential pillars for effective service delivery in the state civil service.
She made this call during an interactive and familiarisation tour of offices within the Office of the Head of Civil Service, where she engaged with staff members across departments. The Head of Service emphasized that punctuality to work remains a fundamental obligation of every civil servant, noting that commitment and professionalism are key to repositioning the civil service for optimal performance.
According to her, “every hand must be on deck to make the civil service the engine of governance that it truly is,” stressing that collective responsibility and a strong work ethic are required to achieve the goals of the present administration of the Chief Servant of the State, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA.
Hajiya Falilat also identified certain grey areas that need urgent attention to enhance productivity and efficiency in the workplace. She assured staff of her readiness to address these challenges and to create an enabling work environment that would support effective service delivery.
The Head of Service further encouraged staff to remain focused, dedicated, and supportive of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the Kogi State Civil Service in line with global best practices.
