The just-concluded Kogi Buy and Sell Trade Fair has been hailed as a resounding success by vendors and participants alike.

With the four-day event now wrapped up, many have praised *Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo* for his visionary leadership and the unique platform he provided for local businesses to grow, network and showcase their products to a wider audience.

The trade fair which took place at the “Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre” in Lokoja, attracted a diverse range of vendors, from small businesses to larger enterprises, all of whom benefited from the opportunity to engage with potential customers, investors and fellow business owners.

Vendors were particularly appreciative of the Governor’s initiative to create such a dynamic and inclusive event for local entrepreneurs.

The trade fair was also marked by a strong commitment to maintaining law and order, with security officials, including Police Officers, on the scene throughout the four days.

Their visible presence created a peaceful and secure environment for vendors and attendees alike, further contributing to the overall success of the trade fair.

“I never imagined a trade fair like this would come to Kogi State,” said Olayemi, a local vendor specializing in customized Jewelries.

“This event gave my business a significant boost, and I’m grateful to *Governor Ododo* for making it happen. The security arrangements were exceptional, and I felt completely safe throughout the fair.” she added.

*Honorable Muhammed Muktar Shuaibu* , the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, who represented the Governor at the opening ceremony, also expressed his satisfaction with the positive impact of the event, citing it as a key milestone in Kogi State’s efforts to strengthen its economy and position itself as a leader in trade and commerce.

Throughout the four days, attendees were treated to workshops, exhibitions, and networking sessions focused on branding, digital marketing, and business growth strategies.

The event created an invaluable learning experience, with many vendors stating they would return next year to further expand their businesses and networks.

“This trade fair has been a game changer for our business,” added Adeiza, a tech solutions provider. “The Governor’s commitment to supporting local businesses through events like this and the presence of security officials ensured we could focus on our businesses without any worries.”

As the trade fair concludes, vendors have expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate, with many calling for similar events in the future to continue fostering growth and innovation in Kogi State.

Governor Ododo’s leadership in organizing such a successful event is expected to set the tone for future trade initiatives, including the 2025 International Trade Fair, further cementing Kogi State’s role as a key player in national and international trade.
