The Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris, has hailed the Federal Government’s approval for the construction of an international airport in Kogi State as a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards economic growth.
Hon. Idris emphasized that this development exemplifies Governor Alh. Usman Ododo’s strategic vision for fostering economic growth and development in the state.
“The approval of the international airport will provide more opportunities for economic expansion and job creation, enhancing connectivity both within and beyond our borders,” stated the Commissioner. “This project aligns seamlessly with our state development plan, which is designed to drive socio-economic growth through strategic planning, efficient budgeting, and effective coordination. The construction of the airport is projected to generate thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities, attracting both local and international investors to Kogi State and bolstering the state’s economy.
