Kogi State Commissioner For Women Affairs and social Development, Mrs Acharu Okpanachi has assured staff of the Ministry of a conducive working environment.
The Commissioner gave the assurance while resuming office at the Ministry after her redeployment from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Lokoja.
Mrs Okpanachi said she is ready and prepared to work with the staff of the Ministry for optimum results and performance explaining that she will do her best to make sure the Ministry does not lag behind.
She emphasized the need for workers to be united and do a way with nonchalant attitude towards their duty noting that she will not listen to said talk or rumour mongering.
Mrs Okpanachi said the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development is Working directly with the Office of the wife of the Governor, Hajia Sefinat Ododo in order to promote the well being of Women, children and the vulnerable in the state.
The Commissioner commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for going all out for a better Kogi State and building on the foundation of the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Earlier, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Faith Ibrahim handed over the activities of the Ministry to the Commissioner.
She assures her of staff support for her overall success to succeed and pray for God’s wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Ministry.
Other Directors who spoke at the handover ceremony called for concerted effort at ensuring the Ministry moves beyond her current status.
