The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat has urged Local Government Chairmen to increase the tempo in the war against insecurity in Kogi State.
The Commissioner encouraged them to be in tune with Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s pace to combat the violent spate of violence in communities across the state.
He pointed out that Chairmen in collaboration with the traditional rulers in their local government areas are the foot soldiers of the Governor who is the chief security officer of the State.
On behalf of the Chairmen, the ALGON Chairman, Honourable Tosin Olorun commended Governor Ododo for his giant strides in curbing insecurity in the State and pledged their unalloyed support for his developmental blueprints.
